Survey Missions

From reacting to reports → to systematically searching the lagoon.

What Is a Survey Mission?

A Survey Mission is a volunteer intentionally surveying an area using technology — not just reporting a single piece of debris. Each mission records a GPS track, the equipment used, and the waterway searched, building a permanent record of where we've looked and what we found.

Over time, survey missions feed the Survey Coverage Map, helping us identify gaps, prioritize recovery, and measure our reach.

Hidden Debris Survey Program

Every volunteer can start a GPS-tracked survey from their phone, tag the equipment they're using, and contribute to a growing map of searched waterways — even when nothing is found.
